The Kindle Voyage – the good, bad, and the bottom line.

Here are three things about the kindle that I want to share with you – The Good, bad, and the bottom line.

THE GOOD is the top of Amazon’s e-reader line: it’s the company’s lightest touchscreen model ever, with the best resolution and contrast to date, better built-in lighting, a flush glass front and dedicated page-turn buttons.

THE BAD It’s not a huge upgrade over the Kindle Paperwhite, but it costs more. And you’ll pay extra still for a case, which is not included.

THE BOTTOM LINE The Kindle Voyage is Amazon’s best e-reader to date, and probably the best e-reader ever but with a cost.

  1. I have been thinking about getting a kindle for a long time, but I haven’t seen the benefit.
I ready at least a book per week so I would definitely be a candidate for this if it is a better option.
How do you think The Kindle Voyage compares with other forms of reading? e.g. books, iPad, iPhone, audiobooks.

    1. Hi Alex,

Good to know that you do a lot of reading. Side-by-side, the display on the Kindle Fire HDX blows away that of the iPad. Not only do the colors look superior and more vivid, but also the brightness is better. On top of that, the display on the Kindle Fire HDX seems to throws off a lot less glare, making it easier to use outdoors. The Kindle can also read to you.

  2. I’ve busting my head trying to figure out a good Xmas gift for my wife. I think she would really like this. she does a lot of reading, way more reading than me, and I think something like this would make you life easier.

I wonder why she hasn’t gotten one for herself by now. I guess she waiting on to catch the hint. Got It!
